    Jointly sponsored by China Europe Culture & Arts Exchange Association and its
Beijing Branch, and jointly organized by the
Organizing Committee of China & Europe
International Arts Biennale
and Beijing Hainazhidian Culture & Arts Exchange Co., Ltd.,
the Press Conference of the First China & Europe International Arts Biennale, Prague 2017,
was held in the Chinese Opera
House of
Prince Kung’s Mansion on December 1st,2016.
Witnessed by representatives of foreign ambassadors in China,
officials, cultural scholars,
artists, collectors and news media, it formally started
2017•The First China & Europe
International
Arts Biennale.


    Mr. Li Xiangxu, chairman of CECAEA, Ms. Barbora Kocourkova from Department of
Economy, Embassy of Czech Republic to
China, Mr. Li Haiwang, chief of CECAEA Beijing
Branch, Mr. Li Xiangming,
a famous artist, Prof. Tan Tian, a famous art theorist from Guangzhou
Academy of Fine Arts, Mr. Lu Lei, editor-in-chief of World Art, China Central Academy of Fine
Arts and other
guests attended
the press conference and gave speeches.


    The opening ceremony of the First China & Europe International Arts Biennale will be
held in Prague International Exhibition
Grounds, Czech in September of 2017. Works of
different art categories
will be exhibited, including oil painting, modern ink wash painting,
woodcut, sculpture, installation art, photography, video art and folk art categories from
intangible cultural
heritage. The Biennale
consists of three parts, and some famous Chinese
and European artists will be invited to participate
in the exhibition and dialogues. Various
activities will be held, including opening ceremony, art
exhibition, lectures, academic forum
and interaction in the exhibiting zone on intangible cultural heritage. The China & Europe
International Arts Biennale
stands for a permanent mechanism, and
it will continuously follow
art practice, exploration and thinking influenced by
geographical environment from different
countries and regions, establishing the space for international art communication,
interaction
and dialogue.
